ECo-Design Charrette/ Climate Change Theatre Action 2021
The design “Seed Concepts” featured in the posters above were cultivated during Triga Creative’s Eco-Design Charrette as part of the Climate Change Theatre Action Festival 2021. The Centre for Sustainable Practice in the Arts produced an exhibit of the work at World Stage Design in Calgary in the summer of 2022. Triga’s online Eco-Design Charrette nurtured design concepts for all 50 Climate Change Theatre Action plays with ecological consciousness at the centre of the creative process. International charrette participants cross-pollinated the germination of their Seed Concepts with students from the Globally Networked Learning program applying Tanja Beer’s ecoscenographic framework. The student concepts were tended by professors Tanja Beer at Griffith University, Tessa Rixon at Queensland University of Technology and Ian Garrett at York University.
