Shannon Lea Doyle

Shannon Lea Doyle trained to be a sculptor at OCADU but found that her interest in large-scale art, public impact and creative collaboration suited a career in theatre design. She has designed over 50 professional live performance productions for some of the most reputable stages in Canada.

In the past seven years Shannon has established a career moving between collaborations with independent artists on new work to reimagining classics. Several awards and nominations have recognized Shannon’s work including a Dora Award in Set Design for John (2017).

Shannon co-founded Triga Creative: a design collective working to create extraordinary live experiences through an ecoscenographic approach. Shannon has a strong artistic relationship with Sudbury-based YES Theatre; she was the company’s resident designer for four seasons before she brought Triga into the fold as YES’ resident design company in 2020.
